Quando esce una nuova testata giornalistica nella appartata Città dei Papi, appena la stessa inizia a scrivere cose che gli altri magari non scrivono, a denunciare cose che gli altri non denunciano, ad evidenziare cadute di gusto o altro che gli altri non evidenziano, c’è subito qualcuno che mette in giro la voce secondo cui questo attivismo giornalistico non sarebbe disinteressato, ma mirerebbe a spaventare qualcuno per poi poter alzare il prezzo della propria vendita. Addirittura, in questi due mesi di pubblicazioni, c’è stato chi ci ha fatto capire con ironia tutto fuorchè sapida che “la nostra tattica (?) era sbagliata, che non ci si inimica tutti, che così si resta isolati, al di fuori dei giochi, bisogna attaccare in maniera mirata, solo chi ci può dare qualcosa, badando bene a farsi coprire sempre da qualcun altro…”. Abbiamo fatto capire a tutti questi gentili signori che si preoccupavano per noi e che ci cospargevano di consigli, che erano tutti completamente fuori strada e che il nostro rivoluzionario progetto era uno solo, fare i giornalisti, osservare la realtà viterbese e quella nazionale, cercare di decodificarla, esprimere le nostre opinioni liberamente, senza condizionamenti. Le condizioni dell’informazione a Viterbo sono davvero disastrose, lo capisco, ma noi non siamo interessati a seguire le logiche ricorrenti, a vendere articoli agiografici in cambio di sponsor, a proteggere quello o quell’altro politico dagli attacchi di quell’altro politico ancora, è un gioco in cui non entreremo, ci dispiace per i tanti colleghi che hanno scelto questa strada, Noi racconteremo la città e l’Italia che vediamo, nient’altro che questo e da noi potrete trovare critiche a destra, a sinistra, al centro, alle liste civiche se non saremo d’accordo con quello che faranno. Certo, magari potremo anche noi commettere errori, uno, cento, mille errori, ma state tranquilli che il tutto avverrà in buona fede, non per cercare acquirenti o sponsor, potete starne davvero certi.
