Le ordinanze di custodia cautelare sono state emesse dal gip del tribunale oplontino su richiesta della locale procura che ha coordinato le indagini.
Nel corso delle investigazioni, è stato accertato il coinvolgimento di cinque indagati nella detenzione di 30 chili di hashish e di un ordigno esplosivo telecomandato nonché di due scooter rubati, il tutto rinvenuto nella palestra in disuso di un istituto scolastico della città oplontina. Individuati anche i responsabili di due incendi dolosi di autovetture perpetrati, a scopo intimidatorio, a Torre Annunziata e a Torre del Greco e stabilita la responsabilità di uno degli indagati per la detenzione di una pistola semiautomatica calibro 9. Nel corso delle indagini erano già state arrestate cinque persone per detenzione a fini di spaccio e documentati oltre 100 casi di spaccio, con il sequestro di 1,6 chili di marijuana e numerose dosi di cocaina.
